Supporting your wellbeing with clarity - not confusion

Supplements can feel overwhelming.
Walk into any shop or browse online and you’ll see claims for better energy, glowing skin, deeper sleep, balanced hormones, calmer digestion, stronger immunity… the list goes on.

The reality is that supplements can play a helpful role - but they’re rarely the first or only step. And for many people, knowing which supplement (if any) is appropriate can be confusing.

This hub is here to bring clarity, balance and evidence-led guidance.

A food-first approach

Before exploring supplements, it's important to know that nutritional therapy always begins with:

  • balanced meals

  • fibre-rich, varied food choices

  • personalised nutrient support through diet

  • sleep, stress and lifestyle foundations

Supplements can complement these foundations, but they don't replace them. And not everyone needs them.

Each article below explores a supplement in a clear, level-headed way - what it is, what it’s used for, what the research says, and when it may or may not be helpful.

What you’ll find in this hub

This hub brings together the top talked-about supplements and discusses:

  • what the supplement actually is

  • how it works in the body

  • where the evidence stands

  • situations where it may be supportive

  • when caution is needed

  • why it isn’t always the first step

  • how nutrition and lifestyle can support the same pathways

If you’re not sure where to start

You don’t have to know which supplement you need (or whether you need one at all). If you’re unsure, confused by conflicting advice, or curious about what might support your symptoms or goals, we can explore this together. Understanding your symptoms, health history, lifestyle and diet often gives us more insight than any supplement label.

If you’d like help working out what’s right for you, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

Let's Talk

If you'd like personalised support interpreting your symptoms without all the background noise of social media trends and must-take supplements then let's talk.

Book a free introductory call with me. We can have a chat about how you are feeling now and what your main concerns are. But most importantly we can talk about what you'd like to get out of working together and how you'd like to feel.

There is no obligation to work with me following this call but it's a great opportunity to have an informal chat and ask any questions about my Nutritional Therapy programme before committing.

Book in using the calendar shown and if there aren't any dates or times that suit you drop me an email to louise@louisegouldingnutrition.co.uk
